As a land or a property owner, you will no doubt be well aware of the benefits that can be delivered by new solar PV installations. What’s more, there has never been a better time to investigate this potential further.

At ROC Energy, we will carry out a free feasibility study to assess the financial performance of your site. This feasibility will confirm:

1. The Land

a. Who legally owns the land.
b. Whether the site is available for a minimum of 20 years.
c. The irradiance level of the proposed site.
d. Whether the site covers an area in excess of 10 hectares / 25 Acres.
e. Whether it has minimal shading from trees, hedges, pylons and wind turbines.
f. Whether it is situated close to an overhead line or substation so that it can be easily connected to the national grid.

2. The Contract

A contract will be drawn up in order to protect both parties and will encompass:

a. Exclusivity to deal with ROC Energy for a set minimum period.
b. Agreed Heads of Terms to develop the solar installation.
c. An option to lease the land for a minimum of 20 years followed by 5 year extensions.
d. A letter authorising ROC Energy to discuss grid availability with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO).

3. The Community

The impact of the proposed solar park upon the local community will also be assessed. In order to complete this, ROC Energy positively engages with the local community throughout the design and development of the project. This engagement process includes:

a. Environmental support through impact assessments.
b. Social support by using local resources to deliver the installation.

4. The Return

ROC Energy then helps to maximise the return delivered to the land or property owner by:

a. Developing a robust investment model.
b. Optimising the design of the installation and its production of electricity.

Our ‘turnkey’ solutions for solar installations provide a convenient one-stop shop, energy efficient production and optimum financial returns for every client. Revenue is delivered through Government Feed in Tariffs (FiT’s) or the Renewable Obligation Certificates (RoC’s) Schemes and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s) with the energy suppliers. In addition, our experienced team of technical designers and engineers works closely in partnership with clients to ensure that their projects successfully satisfy all stakeholder objectives.
